From a scattered inbox to signed off.

One flow, start to finish. Everything up to the review is LoanPilot's job; the review, and every figure in it, is yours.
  1. 1

    Open the application

Enter the client's name, the loan type, whether there are one or two applicants, and their postcode. That is the whole setup: a few seconds, and the application is open and waiting.

  2. 2

Send through what has arrived, and talk it through

Push across the attachments sitting in your inbox, the photographs your client sent by message, and the statement that came in three days late. Then run the interview, in person or over a phone or video call. Both, in either order, across as many sittings as it takes.

  3. 3

    LoanPilot fills the application

Documents are read and the conversation is transcribed, and the answers land in their fields as they are found. Each one records where it came from and how confident the reading was. Where a living-expense field is still blank, you can drop in the HEM benchmark.

  4. 4

    You review and approve

Work down the sections. Every field shows its source, so you know what came off a payslip, what came out of the conversation, and what is a benchmark. Click anything to correct it, and once you have set a figure by hand nothing overwrites it.

  5. 5

    A lender-ready application

Mark it complete and you have one structured account of your client's position, signed off by you, with a full picture of where every figure came from. It stays available to reopen, extend for a second applicant, or archive.

Run the interview whichever way suits the client.

Step two, in more detail, because this is the part that usually dictates how long the rest takes.

In person

Sitting across the desk from your client, LoanPilot records the appointment through your computer and transcribes it as you go.

Over a phone or video call

Send your client a join link. They open it in their browser, with no account and no app, and the call is transcribed the same way.

Or neither

Send the documents across and type in the rest. The interview is a way to fill the application faster, not a requirement.

Whichever you choose, LoanPilot keeps a running list of the questions still worth asking for the section you are in, so you finish the call knowing what is missing rather than finding out afterwards.

The interesting part is not the tidy files.

Anything that arrives in good order is easy. What decides whether this is usable is the rest of the time.

Something is missing

The application shows what is still outstanding, section by section, rather than waiting until the end to tell you. You know what to ask for while your client is still on the phone.

Two documents disagree

Every figure carries the document it came from, so when a payslip and a bank statement do not agree you can see both and decide which is right. What you choose is what stands, and the record shows it was you who chose it.

LoanPilot is not confident about a reading

It is shown as exactly that: a low-confidence reading, sitting next to the document it came from and waiting for you. An uncertain figure never quietly presents itself as a settled one.

You have already answered it yourself

A figure you typed in is the authority on that field. No later document and no later call will replace it. This is the one rule with no exceptions.

The client goes quiet for a fortnight

The application saves as you work and then waits. Pick it up weeks later, add whatever arrived in the meantime, run a second call if you need one. Nothing is lost between sittings.

We would rather lose the deal than sell you the wrong thing.

You will hear this on the first call rather than after the contract.

Worth a conversation

  • You write residential loans in real volume
  • Your clients send documents however they happen to have them
  • The week between advice and submission is mostly paperwork
  • You put the same client in front of more than one lender
  • Two-applicant files are normal rather than unusual

Not for you

  • You write a handful of highly bespoke deals a year
  • Your aggregator already hands you structured, checked files
  • You are looking for a CRM or a source of leads
  • You want something that submits without a credit representative reviewing it
